Police are investigating another reported theft at Clarendon’s Lululemon store — at least the fourth since mid-June and the third in as many days.
Four male suspects reportedly entered the store, located at 2847 Clarendon Blvd, just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday and gathered merchandise before leaving the store without paying, an Arlington County police spokesperson said.
Store employees followed the suspects in the direction of the Clarendon Metro station, according to scanner traffic at the time, but arriving officers could not locate the suspects.
The store has seen several similar incidents over the past few weeks.
Two women in their teens or 20s gathered up merchandise and left without paying just after 5 p.m. on Monday, police said. Two hours later, three female suspects did the same, according to an incident summary. The later alleged theft was caught on video by NBC 4.
The suspects in both of Monday’s incidents are still at large, police said.
On June 17, a half dozen men and women entered the store and stole merchandise, according to police. Two juvenile suspects were subsequently apprehended near the Clarendon Metro station.
“The investigations into the reported larcenies are ongoing,” ACPD spokeswoman Ashley Savage told ARLnow. “As part of the ongoing investigations, police will work to determine if the cases are linked.”
A request for comment sent to Lululemon’s corporate office went unanswered by publication time.
