A Goodwill Donation Express center is slated to open later this year at 5210 Langston Blvd, formerly Tops Cleaners.

The new facility will mainly operate as a donation drop-off spot, a local Goodwill spokesman tells ARLnow, but a limited selection of donated goods will be for sale.

The center will join other Arlington Goodwill locations, including a store on Columbia Pike and a store and donation center on S. Glebe Road.

This will be Goodwill of Greater Washington’s second Donation Express center. The first is in Herndon.

Goodwill of Greater Washington said it chose the new space for its location on a major thoroughfare and for being more convenient to more Arlington donors. That will allow the nonprofit “to better serve a larger segment of the Arlington community,” with the other two locations both south of Route 50.

Goodwill “hopes to offer the residents of Arlington County another destination to donate apparel and household goods that have outgrown their homes,” the local nonprofit said. “Every donation to Goodwill helps funds jobs, job training, and educational services for people facing barriers to employment.”

A grand opening is expected “sometime in early fall,” though “the exact date is TBD.”

Tops Cleaners remains open for business after moving to 5056 Langston Blvd.
