Arlington County is one of the most accessible places in the county.

That’s according to a new set of rankings from Forbes, which looked at a variety of factors from wheelchair-friendly rentals to a place’s Walk Score.

Arlington is No. 9 on the Forbes accessibility list, which has Honolulu, Hawaii; Irving, Texas; and St. Paul, Minnesota in the top three.

“Sitting directly across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., this northern Virginia city ranks ninth for accessibility,’ Forbes wrote. “It has the eighth highest number of wheelchair-accessible rental properties and the fourth highest Walk Score of all cities included in our data set.”

“With nearly one in eight Americans living with mobility disabilities, it’s important for cities to create accessible places for people to explore and live,” said Alena Hall, Managing Editor at Forbes Health. “Our research reveals that some cities in the U.S. are paving the way in creating accessible places that all can enjoy while others need significant improvement.”

Cities deemed to be among the least accessible include New York City, Jacksonville and Fresno.
