A man allegedly armed with a concealed firearm was arrested early Sunday morning in Clarendon.
The incident started around 2 a.m. when a witness stopped an officer near Bar Bao and reported seeing a man with a gun running through the area.
The 21-year-old man was later spotted and taken into custody by a responding officer, Arlington County police said.

WEAPONS VIOLATION (Significant), 2024-08180026, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 2:04 a.m. on August 18, a patrol officer was approached by a witness who reported observing a man carrying a firearm while running from the area. A lookout was broadcast and a responding officer located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of Washington Boulevard and N. Hudson Street and detained him. During the course of the investigation, a firearm was recovered. [The suspect], 21, of Washington D.C. was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
Also in the crime report is more information about an incident Saturday afternoon in which a naked man was tased by police in the Ashton Heights neighborhood.
The man, a 47-year-old Arlington resident, is facing several charges including public intoxication.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-08170119, N. Pershing Drive at N. Fillmore Street. At approximately 3:36 p.m. on August 17, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person in the roadway. Upon arrival, a responding officer observed the male suspect exposing himself and acting disorderly. The officer gave the suspect commands to stop which he disregarded. An additional officer responded and gave the suspect commands. The suspect remained non-compliant and was taken into custody after an officer deployed their taser. Medics transported the suspect to an area hospital for evaluation. [The suspect], 47, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure, Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.
