ACPD: Robbery suspects park stolen car near police HQ, get arrested

Two 20-year-olds were arrested after allegedly parking a stolen vehicle down the street from the Arlington police headquarters in Courthouse.

ACPD officers said they came across the vehicle on Aug. 31 at the intersection of 13th Street N. and N. Courthouse Road — roughly a block away from the police station.

The vehicle, which was unoccupied at the time, was linked to an armed robbery in another jurisdiction, according to the department’s latest crime report.

Six people later returned to the vehicle, according to police, and were taken into custody. One adult was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm, police said, while a juvenile allegedly possessed marijuana.
