Police are investigating three robberies in three different Arlington neighborhoods over the weekend.
Among the incidents are two armed robberies.
Around 9 p.m. on Friday, two gun-wielding suspects knocked on the door of an apartment in the North Highlands neighborhood and forced their way in when a man answered, according to Monday’s Arlington County Police Department crime report.
Once inside, the suspects “rummaged through the residence” and stole personal documents and bank cards, police said. The two suspects then reportedly fled the scene in an SUV that was driven by a third suspect.

ROBBERY, 2024-09130199, 2500 block of 20th Road N. At approximately 9:05 p.m. on September 13, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was inside his residence when he heard a knock at the door. Upon opening the door, Suspects One and Two forced entry inside and struck the victim. One of the suspects brandished a firearm while the other rummaged through the residence before stealing the victim’s personal documents and bank cards. The suspects fled the scene in a black SUV driven by Suspect Three. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
Police responded another call near Clarendon just before 3 a.m. on Sunday after four suspects — one man and three women — allegedly stole jewelry and car keys from four men following a verbal dispute.

ROBBERY, 2024-09150044, 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 2:58 a.m. on September 15, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the four male victims were in a parking lot when they became involved in a verbal dispute with a group of male and female suspects. The suspects briefly left the area and, upon returning, a male and female suspect assaulted one of the victims. The suspects then stole jewelry and car keys from the victims and entered the victim’s vehicle, attempted to steal it and caused property damage. The suspects then fled the scene in their vehicle, described as a red SUV. Two victims sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
Finally, just after midnight on Monday, three juvenile suspects allegedly robbed a man of cash in the Long Branch Creek neighborhood.
One of the suspects brandished a firearm, according to the crime report, before the trio fled the scene in a black sedan. Arriving officers searched the area but could not locate the suspects.

ROBBERY, 2024-09160003, 2600 block of S. Troy Street. At approximately 12:02 a.m. on September 16, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the area when he was approached by three juvenile suspects. Suspect One brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s personal belongings. The suspects then stole an undisclosed amount of cash before entering a black sedan and fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
As of Monday afternoon, ACPD’s crime dashboard list a total of 181 robberies in Arlington so far this year, not including the three reported over the weekend.
