A man accused of masturbating in public in view of a local pickleball court is back behind bars.
Police say 50-year-old Arlington resident Alexei Rodriguez was seen peeping into homes, exposing himself and masturbating last night on the 300 block of S. Glebe Road, near Thomas Jefferson Middle School. He was arrested after a foot chase.
Rodriguez was released on his own recognizance following a November 2023 arrest for two separate alleged public masurbation incidents, court records show. He has at least four indecent exposure convictions in Arlington dating back to 2002, according to the records.

PEEPING, 2024-10240257, 300 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 11:15 p.m. on October 24, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was inside his residence when he observed the male suspect allegedly looking into the windows of homes while exposing himself. When responding officers arrived, they observed the suspect exposing himself near a playground. The suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was detained by officers following a brief foot pursuit. [Alexei] Rodriguez, 50, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Peeping, Public Masturbation, Obstruction of Justice, and Sex Offender Loitering Near a Park. He was held without bond.
Rodriguez was due back in court on Nov. 6 in connection to the 2023 incidents.
