Coming Changes to Remote Work? — “President-elect Donald Trump may change whether federal employees are allowed to work remotely, sources tell News4. Some local leaders don’t think that’s a bad idea, especially as it affects the Metro system. In the wake of the pandemic, federal workers haven’t returned to downtown D.C in force.” [NBC 4]

Layoffs at Arlington-Based Boeing — “Boeing has delivered layoff notices to more than 400 members of its professional aerospace labor union, part of thousands of cuts planned as the company struggles to recover from financial and regulatory trouble as well as an eight-week strike by its machinists’ union.” [Associated Press]

State Police Chase on I-395 — From Dave Statter: “A [Virginia State Police] chase tonight caught on camera on I-395N through Arlington. It appears to have left a number of damaged vehicles in its wake around p.m. It’s unclear if the vehicles were struck or possibly suffered flat tires from a police spike strip. We don’t know what sparked the pursuit. It appears it was cut off as it went into DC.” [Twitter]

Eateries Open on Thanksgiving — “For people who don’t want the hassle of cooking or cleaning up after a big turkey dinner, several restaurants in Arlington are open on Thanksgiving Day, which is on Nov. 28 this year. Among the Arlington restaurants taking reservations on Thanksgiving Day…” [Patch]
