A local senior citizen missing since late October has been found dead, according to Arlington County police.
Police had been looking for 79-year-old Michael Hendrickson since he was reported missing three weeks ago. He was last seen leaving his condo building near Pentagon City in a blue Land Rover, ACPD previously said.
The department made the somber announcement of Hendrickson’s death Wednesday evening.
“Mr. Hendrickson, who was reported missing on November 20, has been located deceased,” police said on social media. “At this time, there are no signs of foul play. ACPD extends our appreciation to the [Virginia Dept. of Emergency Management], [Arlington County Fire Department] and [U.S. Park Police] for their assistance with search and rescue efforts and the community who helped share these posts.”
