About a month out from Valentine’s Day, love is in the air in Rosslyn.
Whether you’re in search of ‘the one’ or just some new friends, the Rosslyn BID is inviting all to find connection at its “Cuffing Season 2.0” event next Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Activities in a ‘mix-and-mingle’ atmosphere
- The 21-and-over event — featuring networking bingo cards, tarot readings and other activities — will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Continental Pool Lounge (1911 N. Fort Myer Drive).
- It’s mean to provide “a mix-and-mingle atmosphere designed to help participants expand their social circles — whether they’re seeking friendship or romance,” a representative told ARLnow.
- ‘Cuffing season,’ for those unfamiliar, refers to a period in the winter months when people search for romantic connections.
Happy hour specials from 5-8 p.m.
- Deals include $2 off rail liquor, drafts, cans and most wines.
- Special appetizers like fried pickles, lemon garlic hummus and pigs in a blanket will be available for purchase while mingling.
Early tickets are $10 per person
- The ticket comes with one complimentary drink.
- The BID recommends reserving a spot ahead of time, but a limited number of walk-in tickets will go for $15 each.
- A record 100 people attended the BID’s last “Cuffing Season” event in November.
