A dispute between two drivers along Columbia Pike led to one of them allegedly being struck by the other.
The dispute started around 9 a.m. Friday along Arlington’s western portion of Columbia Pike and continued near the intersection of S. Columbus Street and 10th Street S., in the Columbia Forest
One driver — reported to be in his 40s — got out of his car and approached the other vehicle, at which point the other driver struck him and then fled the scene, according to police. The victim suffered what were described as minor injuries.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-01100043, S. Columbus Street at 10th Street S. At approximately 9:01 a.m. on January 10, police were dispatched to the report of a hit and run just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim and male suspect were each driving their vehicles when they became involved in a dispute at the 5200 block of Columbia Pike. As the dispute continued, the victim parked in the 4800 block of 10th Street S., exited his vehicle and began to approach the suspect vehicle when the suspect struck the victim with their vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in their vehicle, described as a black sedan. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by medics at the scene. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
Also in the crime report, ACPD is investigating a pair of armed robberies, one on Thursday night and the other Sunday afternoon.
ROBBERY, 2025-01120088, 4100 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. At approximately 2:22 p.m. on January 12, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was inside a parking garage standing near his vehicle when the suspect entered and parked his vehicle nearby. The male suspect then exited his vehicle, approached the victim and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect then stole cash and the victim’s cellphone before rummaging through the interior of the victim’s vehicle and stealing clothing items. The suspect then fled the scene in the suspect vehicle, described as a gray SUV. No injuries were reported. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a middle-aged Black male, approximately 5’4”, 140 pounds, with a bald head and a beard, wearing a black t-shirt, dark jeans and a black backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2025-01090169, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 11:32 p.m. on January 9, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim and male victim were inside the female victim’s residence when the male suspect, who is known to her, entered her residence without permission and engaged in a verbal dispute with the male victim. The suspect brandished a firearm and subsequently stole the male victim’s phone, jewelry, firearm and undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. Both victims were able to leave the scene and call police. No injuries were reported. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
