Two people were stabbed at an Arlington County facility Monday afternoon.
The stabbings happened at Sequoia Plaza, the office complex along Washington Blvd that houses some county departments and the headquarters of Arlington Public Schools. Initial reports suggest that the incident happened at an Arlington Dept. of Human Services office.
A 20-year-old Arlington man was arrested and now faces two felony charges.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-02100135, 2100 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 3:14 p.m. on February 10, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect was allegedly acting disorderly inside a building and was confronted by security personnel as well as the male victim during which a struggle ensued and the suspect produced a sharp object. The suspect then struck the victim and security personnel with the object, resulting in lacerations. Security personnel then escorted the suspect from the building where responding officers subsequently located him and took him into custody. Medics responded and transported the security personnel and victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. [The suspect], 20, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding (x2). He was held without bond.
In 2022, a 46-year-old Arlington man was arrested for a stabbing on a bus outside of Sequoia Plaza. That incident, which drew a large police response, reportedly stemmed from a dispute between the victim and suspect.
