The Kenmore Cougars finished on top at the multi-team middle-school wrestling championship in Arlington County.
The team title, captured on Tuesday (March 11), was the second in a row for the Kenmore grapplers.
Leading Kenmore were five individual champions.
The winners included brothers Parker Chick (99 pounds) and Campbell Chick (81 pounds). Parker Chick capped an undefeated three years at Kenmore, with pins in all of his matches.
The Cougars’ Jostin Lopez De Leon (93 pounds) won his second straight individual crown. Tucker Okoko (105 pounds) and Dimitri Savides (153 pounds) also won individual titles.
Kenmore head coach Collins Nitcheu coached the Cougars at the March 11 event, just a few hours before his child was born.
