Police: Teen girl threw food at officer at Pentagon City Metro station

A teen girl is facing charges after police say she threw food at an officer in Pentagon City.

The incident happened this past Friday around 5:15 p.m. at the Pentagon City Metro station. The girl started throwing food at an officer who stopped her male companion for fare evasion, according to an Arlington County Police Department crime report.

She also allegedly struck a second officer, who was trying to help out the first officer. More, below, from the ACPD crime report.

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2025-04110159,1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 5:14 p.m. on April 11, officers detained a male suspect for fare evasion in the Pentagon City Metro Station and the juvenile female suspect, who is known to the male suspect, threw food items at an officer. Another officer attempted to detain the female suspect during which the suspect struck the officer. With the assistance of additional responding officers, the female suspect was taken into custody. The officer that was struck sustained minor injuries. Petitions were obtained for the juvenile female suspect for Assault on Police (x2).
