Two teens charged with series of robberies near Columbia Pike

A teen boy and an 18-year-old woman are facing serious charges after a pair of robberies Wednesday afternoon.

The robberies happened near western end of Columbia Pike in Arlington. In the first, around 3:15 p.m., two ski-mask-wearing suspects approached a boy, demanded cash, and seriously injured him when he refused.

The second robbery happened shortly after that, with two male suspects and a female suspect approaching two boys and demanding cash, then fleeing. It’s unclear whether the suspects actually stole any money.

The female suspect and one of the male suspects were subsequently spotted and arrested by an officer searching the area, according to Arlington County police. They are now facing several charges.

“The investigation is ongoing,” police said. More, below, from an ACPD crime report.
