Crystal City’s Water Park kicks off summer concert series this weekend

Another series of outdoor weekend concerts is kicking off in Crystal City this weekend.

Water Park’s free Saturday Summer Concert Series begins at 6 p.m. this Saturday at 1601 Crystal Drive, with a concert by soul musician Bryan Lee.

This is in addition to weekly Friday night concerts that began at the park last month.

There’s a multi-genre lineup

  • Artists of indie rock, soul, jazz, Latin funk, country and pop are scheduled to perform in the series.
  • Concerts run from 6-9 p.m. They’re happening every week through June 28.
  • Free spots can be reserved on Eventbrite, and parking is available across the street at 1550 Crystal Drive.

More spring activities at Water Park

  • Friday night concerts, meanwhile, continue through June 27. Tomorrow’s concert by DANDY starts at 6 p.m.
  • The weekend of June 15, Father’s Day weekend festivities at the park include special bourbon flights at Water Bar, a country music concert and on-site cigar rolling.

Water Park’s bar launches seasonal eats

  • A new coastal-inspired menu debuted this month at Water Bar, featuring a variety of seafood.
  • Highlights include a tuna poke bowl, Creole-spiced crawfish and shrimp dip, pan-seared salmon and lobster mac and cheese.
  • There are also classic summertime desserts like Key lime pie and shareable tableside s’mores.
