Wanted man arrested, meth and fentanyl recovered, after call for suspicious activity in parking lot

An Annandale man is facing numerous charges after a call for suspicious activity in a parking lot led to a big drug bust.

The arrest happened early Monday morning in a parking lot on N. Pierce Street, in the Fort Myer Heights neighborhood near Rosslyn. Police say they saw drug paraphernalia “in plain view” inside a car after responding to the call, and later determined that one of the two occupants had an outstanding warrant.

NARCOTICS VIOLATION, 2025-08040018, 1300 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 1:58 a.m. on August 4, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious persons in a parking lot. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two individuals inside a car and observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. During the course of the investigation, officers determined one of the individuals was wanted out of Orange County, Virginia and took him into custody on the outstanding warrant. Following the execution of a search warrant on the vehicle, officers recovered approximately 61 grams of methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl pills, a vial of eutylone and multiple drug ingestion devices. [The suspect], 49, of [Annandale], VA was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substance and served with the outstanding warrant.
