Where to watch NFL and college football in Arlington and Falls Church

Numerous venues in Arlington and Falls Church are ready for football fans as the 2025 season kicks off.

Need a go-to spot this season? These local sports bars and restaurants offer happy hour deals and screens aplenty for watching with friends, in addition to hosting local fanbases and alumni groups.

Ballston Local

This bar screened NFL preseason games last weekend and offers New York-style pizzas, as well as a kegs-and-eggs brunch menu from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, with meals starting at $11.

900 N. Glebe Road, Ballston

Bronson Bierhall

This self-described “Game Day HQ” for Commanders fans has 16 television screens in Ballston. A recent new menu drop includes bites like mac and cheese balls, fajitas, Tex-Mex egg rolls and steak frites.

4100 Fairfax Drive, Ballston 

Carpool

A frequent hangout for the local Penn State Alumni Association, Carpool offers two large bar areas and 35 televisions while serving classic game day bites like wings and loaded fries. The bar also has pinball, darts and pool tables.

Crystal City Sports Pub

Located on Restaurant Row, this pub is a mainstay for local sports fans and over a dozen alumni groups, including Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland. A happy hour from 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday includes $4 Miller Lite, Bud Light and Yuengling beers.

Dogwood Tavern

This laid-back restaurant and bar in Falls Church plans to show Commanders games all season, starting with their matchup against the New York Giants on Sunday, Sept. 7. Happy hour includes $4 Miller Lites and spirits from 3-7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Dudley’s Sport and Ale

Another Commanders haven, this Shirlington sports bar offers deals like $5 burgers, six wings for $6 and $2 off rail liquors and drafts during happy hour from 3-7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

First Down Sports Bar & Grill

This bar has over 30 televisions to screen NFL Sunday Ticket, SEC Network and Big Ten Network, but it is probably best known for its vast selection of wing flavors and sauces, ranked No. 1 in Arlington by ARLnow readers.

Ireland’s Four Courts

College football and NFL games are part of the regular seasonal lineup at this Courthouse spot, which is also a bar of choice for local fans of the Minnesota Vikings, Penn State Nittany Lions and Army Black Knights.

Mister Days

This storied sports rock cafe is back in Clarendon for its first full season of football since 2019, with new weekend brunch specials until 3 p.m. on Sundays. The bar plans to be open for all Monday night football games starting Sept. 8, with over a dozen screens for guests.

Nettie’s Tavern

This new Appalachian-themed restaurant has teased Monday night football screenings to pair alongside a $5 bucket of five beers from 6-9 p.m. each week.

Quincy Hall

This bar of choice for University of Alabama alumni is preparing to kickoff its College Football Saturdays deals, including $8 Yellow Hammer cocktails when the Crimson Tide plays. The team’s first watch party is this Saturday.

The Renegade

Eagles fans can flock to this Clarendon bar and local “Eagles Nest,” as it plans to screen some of the Philadelphia team’s games throughout the season. The bar also is the home base for D.C. area Virginia Tech football fans.

Football Sunday deals kick off on Sunday, Sept. 7 at this Columbia Pike mainstay, with specials like $1 mimosas, a bottomless brunch bar and discounted beer pitchers.
