ACPD seeks suspects after two stabbings Tuesday

Two people were stabbed in Arlington yesterday (Tuesday) by suspects that remain at large.

The first stabbing happened shortly after midnight near the Thomas Jefferson Community Center. Police say a man approached the victim, yelled at him, and stabbed him before fleeing in a car.

Arriving officers helped to treat the victim before medics arrived and rushed him to a local hospital.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-10070005, Unit block of S. Old Glebe Road. At approximately 12:18 a.m. on October 7, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was sitting outside when the male suspect approached him and yelled at him before assaulting him with a sharp object, resulting in a laceration. The suspect subsequently entered a dark-colored sedan and fled the scene. Responding officers located the victim on scene suffering from a serious laceration and immediately rendered aid before medics transported him to an area hospital. The suspect is described as a bald white male, approximately 65-70 years old. The investigation is ongoing.

The second stabbing happened Tuesday night around 9 p.m. near the Arlington Mill Community Center on Columbia Pike.

Initial reports suggest the victim was stabbed in the chest by a suspect who them fled the scene.

“The victim has been transported to an area hospital for treatment,” ACPD said via social media. “The victim, an adult male, is in stable condition. The suspect was not located during a search of the area.”

Police released additional information in a crime report Wednesday morning.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-10070190, 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 9:04 p.m. on October 7, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the adult male victim and male suspect were outside when the suspect assaulted the victim with an apparent knife, resulting in lacerations. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Responding officers located the victim on scene suffering from lacerations and immediately rendered aid before medics transported him to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
