ACFD battles early morning house fire in Rock Spring

Firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire in the Rock Spring neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. in the kitchen and extended to the rear of the house, on the 3400 block of N. George Mason Drive, according to the Arlington County Fire Department.

A resident was able to get out but was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the fire department. No other injuries were reported.

“Fire Marshals will be investigating the origin and cause of the fire,” said ACFD.
