Sports bars and venues across Arlington are gearing up to celebrate the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off next week.
The tournament starts next Thursday, June 11, with a lineup of more than 100 games scheduled through Sunday, July 19.
There will be plenty of spots in Arlington and Falls Church to watch as international teams brawl it out in stadiums across Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Here’s a look at some spots showing the games and hosting other festivities.
Ireland’s Four Courts
Recently voted the nation’s best soccer bar during a national Men in Blazers competition, Ireland’s Four Courts will show games throughout the entire tournament. The pub’s World Cup schedule is available to view online, with some international games starting as late as midnight.

Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse
The drafthouse is hosting a big-screen watch party with drink specials as the U.S. takes on Paraguay during its first matchup on Friday, June 12. Free entry can be reserved on the venue’s website.

Arlington Mill Community Center
The community center plans to host free “Watch Party Wednesdays” for select matches on June 17, June 24 and July 1. Games will be broadcast on a large outdoor screen, and there will be DJs, food trucks and activities for teens.
“Across three exciting matchdays, from early tournament clashes to a thrilling semifinal, the Arlington Mill Plaza, Gaming Lounge, and Gym will transform into the ultimate soccer celebration space,” a description reads. “Cheer for your favorite teams and enjoy a shared match day experience with the Arlington community.”

Astro Beer Hall
Astro Beer Hall is offering special World Cup game day deals starting Thursday, June 11, including $5 chicken wings or loaded nachos with a drink purchase.
Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken is also offering limited-edition World Cup-themed donuts with a U.S.-inspired design, at $35 for a dozen. Flavors include raspberry glaze with white chocolate drizzle, cherry jam with cream cheese glaze and vanilla glaze with sprinkles. Preorders can be made online starting June 11.

Clarendon’s mechanical bull bar is hosting a “Stars, Stripes & Shots” party on Friday, June 12 to cheer on the U.S. during its first matchup against Paraguay. There will be DJs, giveaways and drinks specials including $4 domestic beers, $5 seltzers and $6 rail drinks. Spots can be reserved on Eventbrite.

The Ballston venue and dog-friendly patio plans to open early at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, during the tournament to screen every game. Specials include five-drink buckets priced at $30 for Modelo or Miller Lite and $42 for High Noon mango or Surfside seltzers.

Crystal City Sports Pub
The popular sports bar in Crystal City plans to show all games throughout the tournament while offering some yet-to-be revealed specials.

Dogwood Tavern
The Dogwood Tavern’s event calendar includes several World Cup-watching dates, including the U.S.’s first match on Friday, June 12. The restaurant will also show the nation’s matchups against Australia (June 19) and Turkey (June 25), among others.

Dudley’s Sport and Ale
The Shirlington sports bar plans to show every match live. The bar recently introduced $12.99 lunchtime special on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with entree options like a buffalo chicken wrap, smash burger and chicken tenders with a side of choice.

Hyde Social
Every match will be shown live at Hyde Social, which says it will be rooting for the U.S., Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. The bar is planning some food and drink specials throughout the tournament, which will be posted on its social media accounts before each match.

Immigrant Food
World Cup games will be able to watch at Immigrant Food, which is also offering a $13 “World Cup Combo” with a choice of beer and Greek wings with lemon, Mediterranean herbs and feta dip.

William Jeffrey’s Tavern
The Columbia Pike restaurant and bar plans to screen every match throughout the tournament across its 17 high-definition screens.
“Join us Thursday, June 11th for the first games of the World Cup and then for the rest of them,” the business’ website reads.

Themed Salsa Night at The State Theatre
A World Cup-inspired, “one-of-a-kind salsa experience” on Friday, June 26 will feature a variety of salsa hits and Latin dance music performed live. Salsa dance classes, giveaways and “nonstop World Cup vibes” are meant to celebrate the culture of Latin American countries participating in the World Cup. Tickets start at $18.
