A Capital One branch on Langston Blvd is closing today (Wednesday).
The bank at 4700 Langston Blvd will permanently close its doors at 5 p.m., according to notices posted at the location.
“Like other national and regional banks, we regularly adjust our branch network to keep up with changing customer habits,” a company spokesperson told ARLnow. “That evolution is what led to the decision to close this specific location on Wednesday, June 17.”
It’s unclear what might replace the bank at the location.
Another Capital One branch at nearby 5222 Langston Blvd closed in 2017. Headquartered in McLean, Capital One has over 40 other branches in the D.C., including one in the Ballston Quarter.
The company employs over 29,000 people in Virginia.
