An Arlington man has been arrested over alleged sexual offenses involving a teenager, and police are seeking additional possible victims.
Jeremy Mishler, 42, was arrested today (Monday) on charges of “taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a supervisory or custodial relationship.” He also faces charges of assault and battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, the Arlington County Police Department said in a press release.
Mishler, who has previously volunteered with youth at Cherrydale Baptist Church, is accused of “several inappropriate contacts with the teenage female victim, who is known to him.”

The Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit has arrested and charged an Arlington man with sexually based offenses and is seeking possible additional victims.
On June 5, 2026, police launched a criminal investigation after receiving information that in May 2026, the male suspect allegedly had several inappropriate contacts with the teenage female victim, who is known to him.
As a result of the investigation, Jeremy Mishler, 42, of Arlington, Va. was arrested on July 6, 2026 and charged with Virginia Code § 18.2-370.1 Taking Indecent Liberties with a Child by a Person in a Supervisory or Custodial Relationship (x2), § 18.2-57 Assault and Battery and § 18.2-371 Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Additional information regarding the investigation is restricted from release in accordance with Virginia Code § 19.2-11.2.
This remains an active criminal investigation and detectives believe there could be additional victims. The suspect is known to have previously volunteered with youth at Cherrydale Baptist Church.
