Traffic cameras captured a pair of fights that spilled outside of Arlington bars over the weekend.
The first happened at Ricky’s Pub and Grill at 237 N. Glebe Road, in the Buckingham neighborhood, around 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
Video of the fight, posted on social media by local public safety watcher Dave Statter, shows four men fighting for several minutes before police arrived. At least one person could be seen trying — but failing — to help break up the fight.
At least one of the people fighting, a 45-50 year old man, was injured and taken to a local hospital via ambulance, according to scanner traffic. Others could be seen being handcuffed and taken into police custody.

The second incident happened around 2 a.m. Sunday in Clarendon, when an officer working the nightlife details was allegedly struck by a man involved in a fight near the intersection of Wilson Blvd and N. Fillmore Street.

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2026-08230020, Wilson Boulevard at N. Fillmore Street. At approximately 2:02 a.m. on August 23, an officer working the nightlife detail observed individuals yelling at each other in the roadway. The officer approached and ordered the group to get out of the street. The male suspect then approached a male subject and the officer intervened and gave him commands to step away. The suspect disregarded the commands and struck the officer before running from the scene. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located the suspect at Clarendon Boulevard and N. Garfield Street and took him into custody. No injuries were reported. [The suspect], 35, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault on Police and Obstruction of Justice.
