A music festival for local nonprofits is returning next month to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
The Reason to Rock Music Festival is happening at Solace Outpost in Falls Church (444 W. Broad Street) on Saturday, Sept. 19. Tickets are $20 in advance, dogs are welcome and the schedule is as follows:
- 2-3:15 p.m. — Champagne Velvet
- 3:30-4:45 p.m. — Ladywood Live
- 5-6:15 p.m. — Chapter 11
- 6:15-6:45 p.m. — Dance party, raffle and AWLA presentation
- 6:45-8 p.m. — Sauri Power Pill
“AWLA is hopeful that this event will bring out local animal lovers and music enjoyers, all to support animals in need,” the organization said in a press release.
Reason to Rock is a family-friendly festival that has raised over $40,000 for local nonprofits since it launched in 2023. Last year, the event fundraised for the Arlington-based nonprofit PathForward.
“One thing that stands out about our Northern Virginia community is its dedication to uplifting nonprofits and the causes they support, and we’re grateful to the event’s organizers for putting that focus front and center during this music and fun-filled afternoon,” AWLA President/CEO Lauren Lipsey said.
The festival will take place in front of Solace, weather permitting, and will move inside if it rains.
Tickets at the door are $25, and kids under age 18 get in free.
