‘Fyre Festival’ Vibes at Trump Event — “Attendees of the event also contended that the hosts acted unprofessionally. An email obtained by the Washington Examiner from an attendee of the event stated that ‘both hosts were completely plastered.’ ‘There was no VIP, there was no red carpet, like they promised, like when I bought my ticket,’ Katter said, noting the website of the event said attendees would be ”in the company of high profile guests.’ I have no idea who those would have been because I didn’t see anybody high profile.'” [Washington Examiner, Arlington GOP/X]

Tesla Protest Continues — “Word was passed among the Tesla boycotters earlier this week not to tread on the Arlington Tesla’s dirt surface because the company was laying new mulch. So on week 14 of the boycott actions the line stayed off the new mulch out of respect for the business operation. As they have done for the last 3 1/2 months, boycotters brought their hand-painted signs, many of which were new as last week’s action was soaked by a storm.” [DC Media Group]

Beyer Wants Khan Suri Out of Lockup — “Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) today pressed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to reevaluate its detention of his constituent, Georgetown postdoctoral fellow Dr. Badar Khan Suri. In a letter, Beyer urged ICE to consider Dr. Khan Suri’s eligibility for release and to reevaluate his custody classification.” [Press Release]

Dade as the next Superintendent of Falls Church City Public Schools… Mr. Dade will assume his new role on July 1, 2025, succeeding Dr. Peter J. Noonan, who is retiring after eight distinguished years of service to the district.” [Press Release]
