A series of artisan pop-up markets is kicking off in Crystal City this weekend.
The Landing Local Artisan Market will spotlight at least 16 different vendors at Water Park, located at 1601 Crystal Drive. This week’s pop-up event will be the first of three this summer.
The market is on Saturday from 5-9 p.m.
- Featured vendors include soy candlemaker Potomac Candle, D.C. hot sauce company Bandidas and several local jewelers.
- D.C.-area quintet Vinyl Horizon will perform at 5 p.m. The group specializes in several genres, including jazz, funk and yacht rock.
- During the market, Water Bar will also host a mobile bar cart with cocktails available for attendees.
More dates to come this summer
- The market plans to return to Water Park on Aug. 16 and Sept. 20.
- The events are planned by The Maker’s Valley, which coordinates various pop-up markets and workshops throughout the D.C. area.
Other activities at Water Park
- A free concert series, “Fridays at the Fountain,” takes place at 5:30 p.m. every Friday through Aug. 29.
- Concerts in the park’s Saturday live music series are continuing until July 26.
- Other ongoing events include Monday fitness classes until July 28, Sunday morning yoga until Aug. 31 and Monday night trivia.
