ACPD: Teen stabbed at Pentagon City mall

A teenager was stabbed inside the Pentagon City mall Friday evening.

The stabbing happened around 5:45 p.m. amid a reported fight among a large group of people, including males and females, in the food court. Initial reports suggest that the boy was stabbed in the back during the melee.

“He was transported to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life threatening,” Arlington County police said on social media. “One juvenile male suspect [is] in custody.”

Police remain on the scene investigating, ACPD said.

In March, the mall was evacuated after a fight involving dozens of young people in the food court prompted a massive police response.

Update on 7/19/25 — “As a result of the investigation, two teenage male juveniles were taken into custody,” ACPD said Saturday. “Petitions were obtained for Suspect One for Aggravated Malicious Wounding and for Suspect Two for Assault by Mob.”
