Star Wars Day is next Monday, May 4, bringing themed bites, activities and giveaways to Arlington.
A Lego Star Wars building event, Grogu-inspired donuts and even an on-theme protest are just some of the ways local residents will be acknowledging the iconic sci-fi saga. Here’s a look at what is planned in the next few days.
Star Wars-themed blood drive
A sci-fi inspired Inova blood drive is coming to Fire Works Pizza from Saturday to Tuesday. For their generosity, participants will receive a Star Wars-themed T-shirt as well as “the eternal gratitude of the galaxy.”
“Help us restore balance to the Force,” an event description reads. “Donate blood during our May the 4th celebration and be a real-life lifesaver. Jedi, Rebels, and even Sith (as long as they pass their health screening) are welcome.”

Tesla ‘Resistance Rally’
People passing by Arlington’s Tesla dealership tomorrow (Saturday) may spot protesters with Star Wars-inspired costumes and signs at the regular “Saturday Tesla Takedown.”
Wear your favorite Star Wars costume (or any resistance character costume) and bring a great sign (Andor phrases such as “Rebellions are run on Hope” or “We have friends EVERYWHERE”). If you don’t have a costume, or don’t have time to make a sign, that’s okay – join us anyway!! We have plenty of extra signs to share!
