Electronics and other personal items were reported stolen from numerous vehicles in Potomac Yard in a series of break-ins earlier this week.
The windows of 16 vehicles were damaged, with a suspect or suspects stealing tires off of three of the vehicles in addition to snatching belongings, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
The larceny series took place either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning in the 3800 block of Potomac Avenue, just south of Four Mile Run.

At approximately 6:52 a.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the late report of destruction of property. It was determined between 11:00 p.m. on May 18 and 6:00 a.m. on May 19, the suspect(s) forced entry into 16 vehicles in the area by smashing their driver or passenger side windows, stole electronics and other personal items and subsequently fled the scene. Tires were also reported stolen from three of the vehicles. The victims’ vehicles vary in make and model. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
