A fireworks viewing party with free food and drinks is taking place at Marymount University this Independence Day.
The event is free and requires no registration, taking place from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the Converse Family Field on the university’s campus at 2807 N. Glebe Road.
Marymount spokesperson Alexandra Dauchess promised complimentary sliders, fries, frozen treats and beverages in addition to a view of the fireworks over Washington Golf and Country Club.
“Marymount has hosted these watch parties on and off throughout the years, but this year we are making a larger push to engage the Arlington community,” Dauchess told ARLnow.
Free parking is available in the Gerard Lot and the Blue and White Garages.
Arlington is also home to many other prime views for those seeking to watch this year’s spectacle of a pyrotechnics show on the National Mall. This is expected to feature 850,000 firework shells amid extensive celebrations of the United States’ 250th anniversary.
