Spring will arrive and creativity will thrive! Check out Art House 7’s Spring Break Workshops for grades k-5, April 14-17. This is a great opportunity for your child to take a three-hour arts and crafts class during the school break. You can sign up for one workshop day or all four. Themes include Japanese lanterns, jewelry making, and paper flowers. Each workshop is limited to 10 students. $80/day.

Are you feeling uncertain about how federal workforce volatility and its impact on government contractors could affect your housing decisions? You’re not alone. We’re living in extremely unprecedented times, and the time to prepare for the worst is now.
The Chu and Piper Family Career and Technical Education Award is available to recent high school graduates AND non-traditional students. Each recipient may be awarded up to $20,000. Applicants are required to submit an online application form as well as a short video application. The application for the 2025 award is open now through March 3.
The applicant must be an Arlington resident pursuing a career or technical education accredited program, within a high-growth career, that will be completed within two years.
The STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Math) Workforce Development Teacher Fellowship provides Arlington Public Schools (APS) high school, middle school and elementary school teachers with opportunities to learn about work place needs in STEAM-related fields and for them to use the experience to enhance student learning to match workplace expectations in a selected industry. STEAM Fellows participate in a three-week summer fellowship, receiving a $5,000 stipend upon completion. Applicants planning to pursue a fellowship in the arts must demonstrate how they will build connections between the arts and science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
High school, middle school, and elementary school teachers in Arlington County Public Schools with at least two years of classroom teaching experience in APS by June 30, 2025, who intend to stay with APS for at least two years beyond the fellowship, are eligible for the 2025 STEAM Workforce Development Teacher Fellowship. Prior Arlington Community Foundation STEAM Fellows are eligible to reapply five years after their initial award.
