Teresa Oaxaca has given many painting workshops at Art House 7, and we are always thrilled to have her back. You have two opportunities this fall to participate in a 2-day weekend workshop with Teresa: still-life painting on Sep. 21-22; and portrait painting on Oct. 26-27. Teresa will guide you in setup, technique, creative approach, and final touches to your piece. You’ll get detailed demonstrations and attentive, constructive feedback in a comfortable setting. A Master Artist whose vivid and creative works are known around the world, Teresa receives consistently glowing reviews for her lively, hands-on workshops.
Please come by Art House 7 to meet Teresa and see some of her work at our free First Friday on Oct. 4. Enjoy wine, cheese, and non-alcoholic beverages. A local band will provide live music. We look forward to seeing you!

Last Saturday’s ArtRave-produced show was a huge success, drawing almost 3,000 attendees. ArtRave is excited to follow up by announcing a Labor Day special cultural artisan fair on Saturday, Sept 7th at their Dupont Circle venue located at 1913 Mass Ave where Connecticut and P Street meet. The show will run from 11 am to 5 pm. ArtRave will feature an all-star lineup of artisans representing various artistic disciplines. ArtRave has been supporting artisans for 16 years by hosting top-rated cultural shows, helping them improve their presentation skills along the way. Artisans looking for more consistent opportunities can take part with two high foot traffic venues every other Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s show takes place at Dupont Circle, while the Sunday show is held on P Street N.W. alongside Wholefoods and other eateries. Furthermore, ArtRave has two more special events coming up: Art All Night, which typically attracts over 3,000 attendees, and the signature Christmas Extravaganza that draws around 10,000 shoppers!
