Easter was more than a week ago but an Easter-themed race is set for this weekend, bringing with it some road closures.

The Bunny Hop 5K Race is set to kick off Saturday, April 13 at the Clarendon United Methodist Church at 606 N. Irving Street, starting at 8 a.m. Runners, recreational joggers, and casual walkers alike will participate in the event to raise funds for charity.


A local group of woodwind musicians will perform at a literary festival next weekend in the English village of Arlington.

The Arlington Wind Quintet will travel to what’s described as “the most beautiful village in England” to perform at the Bibury Literary Festival from April 19-21. The five-person ensemble will perform early 20th-century classical music by British and Russian composers such as Vaughan Williams, Holst, Prokofiev, and other symphonists from the Edwardian era.


PathForward, a local nonprofit that serves the homeless, will gather Arlington residents, donors and supporters to celebrate and fundraise for its mobile medical outreach program next week.

The “No Place Like Home” celebration will take place on Thursday, April 11 at the Army Navy Country Club (1700 Army Navy Drive) near Arlington Ridge from 6:30-9 p.m. It is set to be hosted by local media personality Tommy McFly and will feature a live auction.
