Deer culling efforts are unlikely to get off the ground in Falls Church any time soon, city leaders indicated this week.

“There’s no evidence that there’s an overpopulation of deer,” the city’s animal-control officer, James Overholt, told City Council members during a Monday night work session.

The Little Falls Cafe is a new concept by Enzo Algarme and Anastasiya Laufenberg, the founders of Pupatella, an acclaimed Arlington-based pizzeria.  The team aims for a spring opening.

It’s official: Whole Foods is coming to Crystal City.

A new store is in development at 1550 Crystal Drive, where Amazon Fresh shuttered in April, Whole Foods Market confirmed with ARLnow. This is in addition to another Whole Foods scheduled to open next month at 103 E. Broad Street in Falls Church.

Falls Church is poised to welcome another Tatte to the D.C. area later this year.

Offering signature pastries and brunch bites, the bakery and cafe is slated to open at 1001 W. Broad Street. With the new location, Tatte will have a total of 17 locations in the region, including spots in Crystal City and Clarendon.

An update to the Falls Church Bicycle Master Plan has the potential to remake some city streets.
