Police: Man Sent Ex-Girlfriend Topless Photo of Herself

Update on 10/11/12 — Frye has been convicted of unlawful filming but acquitted of unlawful entry.

An Arlington man has been arrested after police say he sent his ex-girlfriend an authorized photo he took of her topless.

In addition to sending the topless photo, police say the suspect made more than 50 attempts to contact the woman over the weekend, via both phone calls and text messages, and then ~~broke into her Ballston apartment early Sunday morning and started banging on her bedroom door~~.

The woman called police and the man, identified as 27-year-old Trevor Frye, was later arrested at his residence, according to Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck

Frye is also accused of “yelling inappropriate comments” outside the woman’s apartment. He was held without bond.

Trevor’s Gym Partner

This isn’t the first time Trevor has used this tactic. I was at the gym a long time ago and Trevor walked up to me for the first time and he was like “hey bro can you give me a spot?”. I was like no prob bra and I gave him a good spot while he benched.

Trevor liked my spot so much that he kept constantly asking me to spot him until I was like “bro honestly… I need to get my own workout in”. Trevor was not happy and walked off upset after being like “ya whatever bra”.

I saw Trevor the next day at the gym and he came up to me and showed me a picture that he took of me benching while I was warming up. When I warm up on the bench press, I like to do very low weight but Trevor showed me the picture and said he would tell everybody that it was a picture of me maxing out, which is a HUGE violation of bro code.

Needless to say I have been spotting Trevor at the gym for over a year now and his form and strength have really improved. Fortunately, he learned how to do a sweet bench press by using this tactic but unfortunately he clearly still does this

I’m not seeing a whole lot on here from people who know anything about either Trevor or her (I won’t mention her name for obvious reasons.)
As a woman who has been friends with him for about two and a half years, I can honestly say he has never been anything but a good guy around me. He can be a drunk idiot and their relationship was really tumultuous (both behaving in ridiculous ways at different times), but the fact that a bunch of people who don’t know anything about him are assuming he’s some kind of predator does not make it so.

It is very possible there was more going on with their most recent break up than I, or any of our friends, knew and that he really did do some f-cked up sh-t. That being said, this thread and this situation and not in any way shape or form indicative of the guy I know. I would not be surprised if this was a situation where the post-break up drama that had ensued in the past was taken up a few notches.

It’s possible that this may be as bad as it looks, but I can attest to the fact that he’s been a really good friend to me, and at times helped me out of uncomfortable situations and been extremely caring. In addition, she’s a really nice girl. They’ve had a turbulent relationship where they constantly broke up and got back together.

        My issue is that the majority of this thread has not been about his being arrested. It has been about demonizing and mocking a person who no one on here actually knows. The degree to which people are presuming they know the details of his life, his past relationship, and the events of that night is what bothers me.
        
        There is more to this man’s life than that one night. He is obviously being held accountable for his actions as he’s in jail and has been charged with serious crimes. So perhaps instead of pinning the systemic issues of entitled twenty-somethings in Arlington who abuse alcohol on this one person or insinuating he would have behaved like George Huguely and beaten her to death, people could concentrate on their own lives and let the courts handle Trevor.
        I will add, as someone who actually knows him, he’s not a monster. He’s a guy who it seems crossed some pretty significant lines and is being held accountable. This whole situation is really terrible not only for him but also for his ex, and the sh-t on this site isn’t helping anyone. It’s just entertaining for people who’s lives are in no way affected.

I feel bad for this guy (but not as bad as I do for the girl he terrified). Pretty much everyone I know who is young and lives in/around arlington, in many different social circles, has seen this thread.

I’ve woken up after an awful drunken night and had to deal the consequences. I was 18 at the time and it was nothing on this level, just a commonplace dui but it’s not fun and I could only imagine the added humiliation just compounds his self loathing.

Hopefully, he can stop drinking, reflect deeply, and become at peace with himself at some point in the future. And, most importantly, he can learn proper late night eatery etiquette.

I repeat, that all of these posts are cruel, amatuerish, and clobbering a guy who you may or may not know over allegations, furnished by a ex-girlfriend that boils down to a young relationship dust-up, on a Saturday night.

The way I see it is the public blog is a rush to judgement over bad behavior.

These are just allegations and he will have his day in court over acting up.

Shame on all of you for inflaming a private situation, taken public by the police in a youthful relationship. In fairness, Trevor has some life lessons to learn. However the hue and cry from the public Internet is something I will not forget for a long time. Hangers on and observers of the scene have acted badly and will not be forgotten.

I repeat, Schauttenfreude, the German for taking pleasure at anothers misfortune. Regrettably human and cruel.

Give a young life a break over minor sins, which boil down to boyfriend-girlfriend interaction, not to the reaches of a civil penalization over a percieved bad behavior.

    I don’t know Brah or bro. These terms are meaningless to me. And no- I will not forget the silly outbursts from little p;unk kids in Arlington over Trevors misfortunes. Regardless of the German you got my intent. If you conduct your on line life, as you do inperson, then you should be followed. AS to your outbursts and slang, I think that you should be ashamed of yourself, for attacking an adult male with relationship problems.
    
    I am from the school that behavioural difficulties should be worked out in person by the person charged and the governing authorities.
    
    And no, Mr. Anonymous poster, I will not forget your rant, nor rave, as to your comportment. I am in a postion to do something positive about Trevors’s difficulties, during a bad time, and I will try and help a young man through some bad problems.,

I am tired of our society defining “youth” as anyone under 30 and excusing bad behavior as a youthful indiscretion. The guy is 27. That’s almost a decade as an adult in the eyes of the law. He should have learned by now to hold his liquor and not be a creeper.

Again, these are just allegations. There are two sides to the story as every good Judge knows.

Trevor deserves his day in Court to answer these charges.

Out of fairness, the charges were brought by the girlfriend, amplified by the police. Can any one sit down long enough, to listen to Trevors’s side of the story.??

  Police don’t just charge people in domestic situations when one side says something. They investigate, and see if the situation warrants a charge. In this case, it obviously did. B & E, taking pics of a sleeping partially nude girlfriend, etc.

the felony was sent to grand jury. the two misdemeanors were “nolle prosequi”. a lawyer-type person on here explained that it’s common to NP the misdemeanors up front as separate charges (I’m paraphrasing), because they would be procesuted along with the felony if/when it goes to trial.

so, bottom line: no disposition
