Coming Soon to Arlington: Mobile Pizza

An outfit called Flippin’ Pizza, which just rolled out a pair of mobile pizzerias in Fairfax County, is applying for a mobile food vendor license in Arlington.

Much like the DC Slices truck, which occasionally serves private events in Arlington, the Flippin’ Pizza trucks bake the New York-style pies in the truck and then sell them at various locations around town. Two slices and a drink from the truck will cost you $5. Flippin’ Pizza, of course, announces the location of their trucks via Twitter.

The company says they expect to launch a truck in Arlington later this fall.

For those following at home, the pizza saturation warning level in Arlington has just hit condition red.

Hahaha, Charlie, try working in Old Town near King Street metro/Duke street area… nothing but sandwich shops with very very few exceptions. Ugh.

  • Clarendude

Pretty soon you won’t be able to open your mouth around here without someone throwing a pizza into it !

  • LoxyBrown

Flippin’ pizza is as close to NY pizza as you’ll find down here (except maybe Italian Store). DEFINITELY not the same as any other pizza place. Come to DC, Flippin Pizza truck!

Loxy, give Quattro Formagi off Duke Street near King Street metro in Alexandria. Pretty good stuff and my work friend who’s from NYC makes it a point to get lunch there whenever she is comes into the office.

  • JamesE

All these food trucks are a curse since I work in McLean and thus never in the area during their operating hours.

  • V Dizzle

I’m holding out for the first hovercraft pizza store.

    • Frenchy B

      Think jet-packs.

  • Davey T.

If these guys have any sense, they’ll do lunch AND weekend late nights. Who wouldn’t go for a quick slice on the way home from the bar?

  • Seefood

    I need more pizza
