If you’re trying to leave town for Memorial Day weekend on I-66 or I-395, you’re going to have plenty of company.

Westbound I-66 is slow from Rosslyn to Falls Church. Meanwhile, northbound I-395 is jammed from Glebe Road to the 14th Street Bridge.

In addition to heavy traffic, we’ve also spotted packs of Rolling Thunder motorcyclists heading into town for the annual Memorial Day weekend gathering.

  • CGrl

Rolling Thunder people causing traffic jam on Glebe Exit off 66 this afternoon. They were stepping off the sidewalk (not sure why) in front of the hotel, partly blocking the right turn lane. Also, they were crossing Glebe (along Fairfax) when they had the don’t walk sign, while the traffic from Fairfax turning left had the green arrow, not allowing the cars to turn.

And this is different from regular days how? People do that on a regular basis here and everywhere.

  • TGEoA

I dontnknow wherenyou got your info, but 395N was smooth sailing from Duke st well bast the 14 st bridge.

  • Failed Again

I’m glad they left…I know it’s a great cause but bikes in Arlington, people can barely drive and with the bikes, it’s mayhem! Ado till next year bikers.
