Police and firefighters are on the scene of a taxi cab that somehow flipped on its side on the GW Parkway.

The accident reportedly occurred just after the ramp from eastbound Route 50 to the Parkway’s southbound lanes.

The cab driver was able to get out of the cab and is uninjured, according to police radio traffic. At least one lane is getting by the accident scene.

Not surprised given how poorly most Arlington cabbies drive. Any wod on passengers? If going to DCA, I guess they missed their flight?

    • No report of any passengers in the cab.

there was another cab in a crash ON the ramp from East R50 this morning too. Cabbie had merged right into one of those shuttle buses.

They are due to the left leaning nature of the county……..

I just drove by there about 30 minutes ago and the tow truck was getting ready to load the cab. It was a bad flip–the cab looked like something took a bite out of the roof above the backseat. Lots of twisted metal. The cab driver–and other drivers–are fortunate to not have been seriously hurt.
