Arlington Pet of the Week: Walt and Tuck

Becky's Pet Care

This week’s Pet(s) of the Week are two feline brothers who, as their mother describes, are “the furriest little cowboys east of the Mississippi.”

Here’s what Emily, their owner, had to say about Walt and Tuck:

Meet Walt and Tuck. Two kitty brothers from a litter of seven, the Ponderosa Clan! Originally named Little Jo and Hoss after popular characters from the television show Bonanza, these two gray tabby’s gallop around the house stirring up trouble wherever they go!

Walt, smaller with a spotted belly, was the runt of the litter. He’s the strong silent type whereas his brother Tuck loves to talk! Tuck also has a distinguishing white stripe that runs down his nose, covers his paws and furs his belly. While Walt plays in the couch and pushes against visitors backs, Tuck is meowing up a storm while perching atop the kitchen cabinets (his new favorite spot). Both love to snuggle up with each other and bake in the sun. These curious brothers also like to play in the bathtub!  They love gazing at the faucet and lounging in the cool porcelain basin. Both are great in the kitchen too! Walt likes to splash around in is water bowl, soaking the floor with wet paw marks while kicking around his dry food and Tuck enjoys kneeding biscuits on my belly, right before bed! These little guys are the furriest little cowboys east of the Mississippi!

I originally set out to adopt one kitten. When I met Walt, a 5 1/2-month-old babe, I fell hard. Then Tuck was introduced, Walt’s dashing older brother. And thus the triad began! Now the boys, 1 year and 3 months old, live with me in my condo in Arlington and I’m so glad to have given them a furever home!
