This week’s Arlington Pet of the Week is Tim Riggins, a long-haired and talkative cat.
Here is what his owner, Haley, had to say about him:
Tim Riggins is a handsome long-haired cat who loves eating treats, hiding in small dark places, collecting hair ties, and watching squirrels from the window. He was adopted a year and a half ago from the Arlington Animal Welfare League when we were in the middle of a Friday Night Lights marathon.
Like his namesake from the show, Tim is a laid-back bad boy with a heart of gold. Soon after his adoption, he managed to jump out of a second floor window and live in the woods for a couple days! Luckily someone saw our missing cat flyer and called at midnight to inform us Tim was lounging by the community pool. After an hour long chase through the woods, we finally got him back and he’s been living the good life ever since!
Tim is a very talkative cat. He’s always making chirping noises as he walks around the house and will chirp back at you if you call his name. He doesn’t like to cuddle often, but he will follow us around to whatever room we’re in and hang out. And if someone is using the sink, Tim likes to stick his head under the running water. His other favorite water game is dipping his paws into unattended glasses of water when he thinks we aren’t looking.
Other than that, Tim loves lounging on his favorite couch cushion and grooming his beautiful gray fur. He is the best cat we have ever met and the most low maintenance! We really lucked out with Tim; he was the very first cat we met at the shelter and we knew right away we needed to bring him home.
