Crime Report: Alleged Public Masturbator Returns to Scene of the Crime

A Woodbridge man has been arrested and charged with indecent exposure after police say he was seen masturbating in his car.

The man initially left the scene, on the 1800 block of N. Scott Street in the Rosslyn area, but came back after police asked him to. He was then arrested.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2018-03300228, 1800 block of N. Scott Street. At approximately 6:41 p.m. on March 30, police were dispatched to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim witnessed the male suspect masturbating in his vehicle. Based upon the vehicle and suspect description provided by the victim, police were able to develop a possible suspect and requested he return to the scene. Desalegn Alemu, 34, of Woodbridge, VA, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO (Significant), 2018-04020143, 900 block of N. Jackson Street. At approximately 2:25 p.m. on April 2, police were dispatched to the 900 block of N. Jackson Street for the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that after the vehicle was repaired at a service station, two unknown suspects were observed entering the vehicle and driving away. Arriving officers canvased the area with negative results. Suspect One is described as a black male wearing all black clothing. Suspect Two is described as black male wearing a dark gray hoodie and blue jeans carrying a suitcase. The investigation is ongoing.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE, 2018-03290135, 2800 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 1:42 p.m. on March 29, an officer on routine patrol observed an individual behaving suspiciously enter a vehicle. A subsequent check of the tag indicated the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Chicago, Illinois. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was in possession of numerous fraudulent credit cards and goods purchased fraudulently. Musa Kanuteh, 32, of Bronx, NY, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny: Motor Vehicle Theft, Credit Card Theft (x2), Credit Card Fraud (x2) and Possession of a Credit Card Forgery Device. He was held on no bond.

BURGLARY, 2018-03290263, 4200 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 10:02 p.m. on March 29, police were dispatched to the late report of breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a residence, causing damage. Nothing was reported missing. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2018-03280161, 1700 block of Kirkwood Road. At approximately 5:00 p.m. on March 28, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 11:30 a.m. and 4:54 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence, moved items around and stole numerous items of value. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
