Adoptable Pet of the Week: Yam

Say hello to Yam, the newest Adoptable Pet of the Week.

This 5-year-old pup loves hot dogs, peanut butter and cheese. And he is more than ready for his forever home!

Yam is up for adoption through the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. He is currently in foster.

His friends had this to say about him:

Yam is a sweet, five-year old boy that would make a wonderful addition to any home. He is affectionate and well-behaved and often just wants some extra love and attention.

He also loves to explore, whether it’s on long walks or at home! He is a big boy with an even bigger heart.

Yam’s favorite things are: long naps, snuggles, and cheese
But he’s not so into: loud noises
His special talents are: sit, shake, and fetch
His perfect day would be: sleeping next to his human and then playing with his stuffed shark.
If Yam was an ice cream flavor, he would be: sweet potato and brown sugar because he’s quirky but also the sweetest little boy. It’s also kind of like his name!

Important facts about Yam: Yam appears to be potty trained and rarely barks. He loves his treats and picks up on rules and tricks very quickly! Yam has not met children/cats/other dogs whilst in our care. Our team is happy to discuss these topics during your virtual appointment.

Is Yam a match for you? He’s definitely ready to meet his new family!
