A trio of suspects, including one armed with a gun, reportedly robbed the Macy’s store at the Pentagon City mall this afternoon.
The robbery happened around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Initial reports suggest the suspects shoplifted Nike products and, when confronted by a store employee, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun. They then ran off with the stolen goods in hand, possibly in the direction of the Metro station.
No injuries were reported.
Arriving officers were unable to locate the suspects, who were said to be wearing surgical masks during the theft. Police remained on scene to investigate.
