A new chiropractic clinic focusing on women’s health and pediatric care is set to open in Clarendon.

Located at 1148 N. Irving Street, next door to the recently shuttered Jimmy John’s, Aura Chiropractic is expected to hold its first appointments today (Tuesday), according the clinic’s website.

Led by Dr. Laura Woodhead and Dr. Christian Barresi, the clinic aims to provide comprehensive care for women at various stages of life, with a particular focus on prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care, according to the company’s website. Their services cover a range of issues, including hormone challenges, pregnancy-related concerns, postpartum recovery, and emotional well-being, such as stress and anxiety.

Additionally, Aura Chiropractic offers pediatric care to children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers, for families seeking alternative, drug-free approaches to children’s health, per the website.

Originally from New York, Barresi earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Binghamton University and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, according to the website.

Woodhead, a Virginia native, earned her bachelor’s in exercise science and psychology from Florida Southern College and her Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) also from Life University.

They both specialize in pediatric and perinatal chiropractic.
