Police, medics on scene of crash involving overturned car in Bluemont

A driver crashed into parked vehicles and flipped his car this morning on a quiet residential street in Bluemont.

Arlington County police and medics are on scene of the crash, which happened shortly before 10 a.m. on N. Jefferson Street near the intersection with 6th Street N.

Initial reports suggest that the driver of the Toyota Prius was able to get out of the vehicle on his own but appeared to be intoxicated or suffering some sort of medical emergency. No significant injuries have been reported.

This is at least the second crash in Arlington involving an overturned vehicle in as many days.

Yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon police and medics responded to a crash involving a vehicle said to have overturned multiple times on S. Carlin Springs Road at Robinwood Lane, just north of Columbia Pike. Injuries from that crash were described as minor, though a dog might have been ejected during the rollover, according to scanner traffic.
