Pride Month will soon be coming to a close but a number of local events are still on the calendar, highlighted by the third-annual Arlington Pride Festival.
The Arlington Pride Drag Pageant will take place tonight (Friday), allowing local entertainers to compete for only the second-ever crown. Held at Clarendon Ballroom, doors will open at 7 p.m. The pageant is scheduled to wrap around 10 p.m., with a rooftop after party to follow.
Tickets for the festivities are available online. A ticket just to the after party costs $12, while attendees can get into both events for $30.
On Tuesday, Arlington residents aged 55 and older are invited to partake in Drag Queen Bingo. The event will be held at the Walter Reed Community Center in Columbia Heights, and will run from 6-7:30 p.m.
Next Saturday, June 29, marks the third-annual Arlington Pride Festival, which will be held this year at Long Bridge Park near Crystal City.
The festival promises to be “a fantastic gathering of the community, showcasing local talent, delicious food, and vibrant entertainment,” according to the event page.
The pride festival is scheduled to run from noon-7 p.m.
