A longstanding auto repair shop and attached gas station along Langston Blvd have shuttered.

Westover Service Center and the Liberty gas station at 5618 Langston Blvd have closed “for good,” according to a sign affixed to the convenience store door.

“Westover Service Center is officially closing our doors for good this month,” says a post on the shop’s Facebook page. “We are sorry to say goodbye to our wonderful community but we couldn’t keep it going. Love you all for the many years of support.”

The service center opened in 1983, according to the Facebook page. An employee was seen inside the building Wednesday, but would not answer any questions on the closure.

The now-closed shop sits in an area with a high concentration of gas stations, with a Shell gas station located next door and a BP across the street. A Sunoco gas station located down the street also provides auto repair services.
