Miss Arlington pageant now accepting submissions

The Miss Arlington pageant has begun accepting submissions for this year’s contest.

Contestants in the event, hosted by the Miss Arlington Scholarship Organization, have until Oct. 26 to submit paperwork. They must be between ages 18 and 27, reside in Virginia, and either be employed in Virginia or be enrolled full-time in a college or university.

Contestants in the teen competition also must reside in Virginia and must attend school full-time.

Tickets to the Saturday, Nov. 9 pageant — which this year is disco cowgirl themed and will take place at Marymount University at 2807 N. Glebe Road — are on sale now. Winners will go on to compete at the Miss Virginia and Miss Virginia’s Teen competitions in June.

“Our organization will actively support each and every Miss Arlington, Miss Loudoun County, and Teens in every way possible,” the Miss Arlington website says. “We support our titleholders as they promote their community service and social impact issues, we help them fine tune their paperwork and public speaking skills, and we help to build a strong foundation that will boost them as they prepare for the state competitions in June.”

Miss Arlington 2024, Emily Kinsey, is currently pursuing a master’s degree in communication studies. She paid for her entire college tuition at The University of Alabama through scholarships she earned as Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen in 2018.

Two years ago, Miss Arlington Victoria Chuah was crowned Miss Virginia and won the “Women in STEM” scholarship at the Miss America contest.
