Arlington County police are looking for a blue sports car involved in a shooting along Route 50 last night.
The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. Monday on Route 50 at N. George Mason Drive. Multiple 911 callers reported shots fired amid an apparent road rage dispute between two drivers, according to scanner traffic.
Police responded and found evidence of the shooting, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. No one was hurt.

SHOTS FIRED, 2024-09300184, Arlington Boulevard at N. George Mason Drive. At approximately 8:18 p.m. on September 30, police were dispatched to the report of a possible shooting. During the course of the investigation, responding officers recovered evidence confirming shots had been fired in the area of Arlington Boulevard and N. George Mason Drive. No injuries or property damage related to the shooting were reported. The preliminary investigation indicates a dispute between drivers preceded the shooting and the suspect fled the scene in a blue sports car. The investigation is ongoing.
